Come dip into the community dye pot! This is a fun, non-toxic way to upcycle or extend the life of small clothing items, napkins, dishtowels, etc. and play with "local color". Each dye pot is made from plants foraged from the hills around us, grown in our local gardens, and even found in our compost bins!

Bike Rodeo!
Detective Hernandez and officers from the Hartford Police Department will be handing out free bike helmets for kids so stop by to say hello and get your kids set for a summer of riding.
They will also set up an obstacle course and be offering bike safety checks, so bring your kids and their bikes!

Farmers Market Opening Week!
It’s our BIRTHDAY! The Market is turning 10 years old so we’re kicking off the season with a little celebration. Come by for cake (while it lasts).
We will also be joined by Paul Sadowski, who will lead a campfire demo and do some gardening with children in the library's raised beds.

We plan to have several prepared foods options to choose from, so plan to stop in to pick up dinner! Bring it home or bring a picnic blanket and enjoy it at the market.

We are still looking for a few more vendors (specifically produce and/or prepared foods vendors) so please reach out to westhartfordmarket@gmail.com if you’re interested! This is a perfect market for folks who have a big garden with a bit of surplus.
