Natural Dying with Katie Spencer
Come dip into the community dye pot!
This is a fun, non-toxic way to upcycle or extend the life of small clothing items, napkins, dishtowels, etc. and play with "local color". Each dye pot is made from plants foraged from the hills around us, grown in our local gardens, and even found in our compost bins!
Bring a freshly cleaned item made of cotton, linen, or wool to up-cycle. Ideally smaller than a pillowcase, but larger items can be tie-dyed and dipped in our 5 gallon buckets. Peruse the market while the dye pots do their magic. If you remember, bring a small plastic bag to transport your dyed item home. We'll keep the pots going as long as there is color to share!
